The Media Analyst- Walmart Media Group is accountable for the media analytics and reporting on advertising performance for Walmart Canada. The selected candidate is expected to dive deep into performance data from multiple sources to produce useful, accurate insights and takeaways for clients and help them earn better return on their advertising dollars.

Key Areas of Responsibility:
  • Reporting, customer profiling and data manipulation using Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, custom data and reporting platforms and CRM systems as well as in advertising platforms and ad servers
  • Investigating data sets and creating tables for analysis; performing data mining
  • Utilizing analytics software (traditional or digital) to generate cross-tabs and digital performance numbers
  • Supporting the creation of client-ready reports (dashboards) including graphics creation, summarizing findings and recommendations
  • Producing the highest-caliber Powerpoint decks for clients, containing useful and accurate information and insights
  • Defining and implementing a framework for capturing, measuring, and reporting sales and marketing KPIs like engagement, website traffic, leads, and conversion rates, ROAS, etc
  • Formulating approaches to more complex analytics opportunities and new challenges as they arise
  • Establishing, troubleshooting and improving tagging and analysis related to Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics and other relevant platforms
  • Executing tests; assisting the digital marketing team with A/B and multivariate testing
  • Benchmarking performance across sales and marketing channels, creative, offers and audiences.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in digital and/or marketing analytics, with a focus on working
with large advertising clients and working heavily with reporting and data from Adobe Analytics (Omniture, Google Analytics and ad serving platforms
Bachelor’s degree
Strong math and analytical mindset and a natural curiosity for how marketing and online
actions can impact revenue and performance in advertising
Expert-level Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) skills

Nice to Have
Experience with SASS or SPSS, JavaScript, analytics tagging and custom coding is useful
Experience in shopper marketing a plus, as is experience working with large retail clients
Familiarity with ad serving platforms (DFP, DBM, DCM) and how ad servers work with websites to target users is helpful
