We are an Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery medical office in Mississauga, Ontario and are looking for a highly professional, dependable, and trustworthy Medical Receptionist/Administrator to enhance our current team as we welcome two new surgeons to our practice.
You will be working with a group of dynamic, caring, and patient-oriented professionals providing a supportive and innovative work environment. Our reputation is built on compassionate and quality care and a successful candidate should share a certain set of values as they pertain to patient care and support.
We are looking to hire one Full Time Medical Reception/Administrator to join our team. Work hours will be 8 hours per day, generally 08:00 to 16:00, although it may be necessary to adjust these hours depending on clinical schedules, for example 07:30 to 15:30 or 09:00 to 17:00.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of two years experience in a medical office, preferably in a surgical specialty setting. We are a paperless office, utilizing AbelMed as our EMR system therefore experience with this system would be an asset.
The successful candidate should have the following qualities and qualifications:

- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Excellent command of English
- Superior patient service and organizational skills
- A post-secondary education would be an asset
- Working knowledge of computers
The position responsibilities include:
- Booking and confirming appointments, processing referrals, and answering the phone
- Greeting patients and facilitating an excellent level of patient service throughout the patient’s visit
- Liaise with various doctor offices to ensure completion of referrals or other documents requested
- Surgical booking for Trillium Health Partner sites
- Operates and maintaining the computerized patient information system
- General clerical and administrative support
- Order and maintaining supplies, equipment, and surgical instruments
- Billing non-OHIP covered services and cash handling
Salary: $20.00 per hour
