Job Title: Project Manager III (Gas Facility & Pipeline Projects)
Location: Edmonton, AB
Schedule: Hybrid (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday in office; Wednesday and Friday remote)
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multidisciplinary teams on gas facility and pipeline capital projects, driving successful delivery from concept through completion.
What’s the Job?
- Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of project delivery: feasibility, planning, development, execution, and close-out.
- Take accountability for safety, cost, schedule, and quality outcomes within assigned project scope.
- Manage and influence project progress using a matrix delivery model, coordinating resources that report indirectly.
- Review and monitor project schedules, cost reports, and deliverables to ensure alignment with program requirements.
- Ensure projects meet all regulatory, environmental, health, and safety standards through strong coordination with internal teams.
- Promote a strong safety culture, emphasizing safety in design and contractor selection aligned with zero-incident objectives.
What’s Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree, diploma, or certification from a recognized university or college.
- Professional Engineering designation and/or Project Management (PMI) certification is considered an asset.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in pipeline or gas compression project management (or 9 years without a degree).
- Strong understanding of hazards, safety procedures, and operational considerations related to facilities and pipelines.
- Comprehensive knowledge across mechanical, civil, electrical & instrumentation, automation, and controls.
- Experience in gas pipeline construction, operations, or maintenance is required.
- Valid driver’s license with ability to pass a motor vehicle check.
