We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician to join our dynamic team creating Kootenay Tunnel Greenhouse materials. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining production equipment, ensuring that manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and a commitment to quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production machinery to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to prevent downtime.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure product quality and compliance with safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Document production activities, including machine settings, output levels, and any issues encountered.
- Assist in training new employees on equipment operation and safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment in accordance with company policies.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting purposes.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferred but not required.
