Huff Animal Hospital in Tsawwassen, BC is looking for a locum Registered Veterinary Technician. We are currently looking for someone available mainly Saturdays with occasional weekdays, approximately one to three shifts per month depending on the coverage needed.
We are a fun, hardworking, dedicated team. We are a strictly small animal practice.
We pride ourselves on excellent connections with our clients and their pets and the RVT plays an integral role in this.
Duties include:
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures with precision and care.
- Can stay calm and efficient during a medical crisis.
- Collect and process laboratory samples, perform diagnostic tests, and records results accurately.
- Administer medications, vaccines and treatments as prescribed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor anesthesia and vital signs during surgical procedures.
- Have excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Keep detailed records of patient histories and treatments.
- Maintain clean and organized treatment areas, surgical suites and laboratory spaces.
- Providing compassionate care with a genuine love for animals and their well-being.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited program for Veterinary Technologists.
- Valid Veterinary Technician license.
Schedule:
Shifts are 9am to 6pm on weekdays and 8am to 4pm on Saturday.
