Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated IB Maths/Sciences Tutor to support students in achieving their academic goals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mathematics and sciences, along with experience working with children and in educational settings. This role involves providing personalized tutoring sessions to help students excel in their IB coursework, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring confidence in their abilities.
Duties
- Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions focused on IB Maths and Sciences, including subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, and Biology
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student’s learning style and academic needs
- Assist students with understanding complex concepts, problem-solving techniques, and exam preparation strategies
- Utilize computer skills to incorporate digital resources, educational software, and online tools into tutoring sessions
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents or guardians
- Support classroom learning by reinforcing curriculum topics and addressing individual challenges
- Create a motivating and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity
Skills
- Proven experience working with children or students in an educational setting
- Strong knowledge of IB Maths and Sciences curricula
- Effective tutoring or teaching skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts
- Excellent communication skills to engage students of diverse backgrounds
- Proficiency in computer skills, including educational software and online learning platforms
- Classroom experience or familiarity with special education needs is a plus
- Background in Math, Science, Computer Science, or related fields is highly desirable
