Position: Delivery Driver
Position Type: Part-Time
Starting Wage: $4/per delivery
**This position requires that you deliver in your own vehicle**
**The pay for this position is based on number of deliveries and paid at $4 per stop**
We are an independently contracted service provider for FedEx Ground looking to expand our team of delivery drivers in the Ottawa area! Currently, we are in search of reliable, hardworking individuals for our Part-Time Delivery Driver position, located at our both of our Ottawa locations.
As a delivery driver, you will service areas across Ottawa and the surrounding areas. Your day will consist of delivering an average of 55 to 180 packages that range from 5lbs to 120lbs. If you are able to work independently and manage your time well this is the perfect opportunity for you!
Requirements:
- The driver possesses a valid G driver's license
- The driver has their own vehicle to complete deliveries
- Has the ability to lift 70lbs individually
- Will pass a criminal background check and
- Has to provide clean driver’s abstract (no more than 30 days old)
*Commercial driving experience is an asset but is not required*
Job Duties as a Delivery Driver:
- Organize your deliveries by entering them into your personal smartphone to create your route, daily.
- Ability to maneuver packages up to 70lbs.
- Scan and deliver packages to the assigned areas without error.
- Drive in a safe and controlled manner.
- Complete any pickups throughout your work area as assigned.
