Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Home Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves delivering goods efficiently and safely to customers’ homes, ensuring a positive experience with every delivery. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and moving items. Previous warehouse or commercial driving experience is a plus, but we provide training to the right candidate. This position offers an opportunity to be an essential part of our logistics operations, ensuring timely and courteous service to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to residential locations
- Load and unload items, including heavy or bulky products, using proper lifting techniques and equipment such as forklifts when necessary
- Ensure accurate delivery by verifying addresses and delivery instructions
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding delivery times and any potential issues
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle at all times
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies during deliveries
- Assist in warehouse tasks such as moving inventory or preparing packages for shipment when not on deliveries
- Keep detailed records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks regularly
- Experience with moving, warehouse operations, or forklift operation is advantageous
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or equivalent preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and logistics operations
- Good navigation skills and knowledge of local routes
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
