Performs administrative/clerical duties by responding to inquiries in person, by phone or e-mail.
Responds to specific program details and/or directs individuals to appropriate staff.
Inputs, updates and maintains data in various software applications and prints reports.
Performs straightforward typing/data entry, such as forms and correspondence. Enters/updates information on computer.
Assists with financial transactions and performs calculations.
Performs duties such as booking meeting rooms; opens/sorts and distributes mail; photocopies/faxes; sets-up/maintains filing systems.
Operates office equipment and computers utilizing a variety of software packages, applying speed and skill
Maintains manual and computerized filing and retrieval systems for records/documents.
Your application must describe your qualifications as they relate to:
Experience performing administrative and clerical duties.
Experience working in a customer service environment dealing directly with the public, in person and/or by telephone or mail.
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word and Excel)
You must also have:
Knowledge of standard office practices and procedures.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively within a team and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, clients and the general public.
Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) and establish good working relationships with clients/customers.
Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion in dealing with confidential operational matters.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to perform routine clerical tasks with speed and accuracy.
Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
