Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant/Bookkeeper to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and supporting administrative functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software and possess strong analytical skills to ensure the smooth operation of our financial processes. Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections
- Perform account reconciliation and bank reconciliation to verify accuracy of financial data
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial statements
- Assist with budgeting and financial planning activities to support organizational goals
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions and supporting documentation
- Support administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and correspondence related to finance operations
- Prepare financial reports for management review and audit purposes
Requirements
- Proven experience with bookkeeping and accounting functions in a professional setting
- Proficiency in accounting software is an asset
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, and financial reporting
- Ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, and manage accounts payable/receivable processes
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and vendors
- Prior experience in budgeting and financial analysis is a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in accounting is preferred
- Bilingual (french: oral and written / english: oral and written)
