Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Line/Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with meal assembly, and supporting the kitchen staff to ensure smooth restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong understanding of food safety standards, and experience in a fast-paced food service environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop your culinary skills and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
We are looking for a LINE PREP who is professional and able to start full-time immediately (40 hrs min.), Monday-Sunday availability required!
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing various Nigerian & Western fusion dishes.
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, slicing, and measuring for various dishes according to recipes and standards
- Assist in cooking and assembling meals efficiently during service hours
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Handle food with care to ensure quality and safety throughout the preparation process
- Support the kitchen team in completing daily prep tasks and ensuring timely meal service
- Follow all health and safety regulations to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a safe working environment
- Assist with inventory management by rotating stock and notifying management of supplies needed
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of food presentation and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service is preferred; restaurant or kitchen experience is a plus
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends if required
- Passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn new techniques and skills in the food industry
