We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented optometrist assistant to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist optometrist during patient examinations and procedures.
- Perform preliminary tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and retinal imaging.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and update patient information in the system.
- Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments, answering phones, and greeting patients.
- Provide patients with information regarding their eye health and treatment options.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and office efficiency.
Experience
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is preferred, particularly in optometry or ophthalmology.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Med Access.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye care is essential.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent patient care are required.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
