Key Responsibilities
Bidding, Estimating & Project Coordination
- Manage the process of soliciting HVAC bids and proposals for projects, including conducting tenders, preparing estimates, and completing technical take-offs for engineered systems.
- Utilize company templates to efficiently price standard equipment replacement projects while ensuring accuracy and completeness of all quotations.
- Collaborate with the Installation Manager and Installation technicians to review project specifications, resource requirements, project timelines, and installation scope.
- Assist in the procurement of materials, specialized equipment, and subcontractor services required for installation projects, including cranes, rigging, and other site-specific needs.
- Coordinate closely with the Installation Manager to improve workflow efficiency, optimize quote turnaround times, and ensure alignment between departmental goals and company objectives.
Customer Service, Communication & Reporting
- Provide pre and post-installation customer support to ensure client satisfaction, address concerns, and support long-term customer retention.
- Maintain open, transparent, and proactive communication with the Installation Manager regarding project pipeline status, workload capacity, resource requirements, and operational concerns.
- Represent the company professionally at all times by building positive relationships with customers, property managers, subcontractors, and vendors.
Standards, Compliance & Company Culture
- Comply with all company service standards, work instructions, safety procedures, and customer or property management requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) during field visits and site inspections.
- Support and promote company values, culture, and workplace standards by contributing to a constructive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management, contributing to the overall success and efficiency of the team.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of estimation experience in the commercial HVAC field.
- Experience in hydronics and plumbing would be an asset
- Strong knowledge of HVAC installation methods
- Proven experience preparing estimates, reviewing engineering specifications, conducting accurate take-offs, and coordinating comprehensive tender submissions.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, architectural specifications, and project documentation accurately.
- Strong project coordination and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple pricing requests, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with property managers, strata councils, technicians, suppliers, project coordinators, and management.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- Experience using service management, estimating, or project management software is considered a strong asset.
- Ability to maintain professionalism, accountability, and composure in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record for site visits throughout the Lower Mainland.

Compensation: The target annual compensation for this role is approximately $95,000 to $100,000, based on historical performance and commission earnings. Compensation includes a competitive base salary and commission structure. Actual earnings may exceed the target range, as there is no cap on commission earnings.
Pay: $80,000.00-$95,000.00 per year

Education:
- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)
Experience:
- Mechanical Services Project Estimation: 3 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- Class 5 Licence (required)
