About the Position
North Auto Group is a busy, established automotive repair shop serving Lindsay and the surrounding Kawartha Lakes community. We are looking for a skilled, dependable and experienced Automotive Technician to join our growing team.
A valid Ontario 310S licence is preferred but not required. We welcome applications from experienced technicians who can confidently diagnose, maintain and repair a variety of vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and drivability concerns
- Perform general automotive maintenance and repairs
- Complete brake, steering, suspension, exhaust and cooling-system repairs
- Diagnose check-engine lights and electrical faults
- Perform engine and transmission-related repairs when qualified
- Inspect vehicles and identify safety and maintenance concerns
- Complete digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric
- Clearly document diagnostic findings, recommended repairs and completed work
- Communicate with service advisors when additional repairs are required
- Road-test vehicles before and after repairs when necessary
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Follow shop procedures and workplace safety requirements
- Treat customers’ vehicles with care and professionalism
- Complete assigned work accurately and efficiently
Requirements
- Professional automotive repair experience
- Strong mechanical knowledge and problem-solving ability
- Ability to complete common repairs independently
- Experience using automotive tools and diagnostic equipment
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence
- Own set of professional automotive tools
- Dependable, punctual and able to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Able to meet the physical demands of the position, including lifting, bending and standing for extended periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Valid Ontario 310S Automotive Service Technician licence
- Three or more years of professional automotive repair experience
- Electrical and drivability diagnostic experience
- Experience with air-conditioning systems
- Experience with engine and transmission repairs
- Authorization or experience performing Ontario safety inspections
- Familiarity with Tekmetric or another digital shop-management system
- Additional automotive training or certifications

Schedule
- Monday to Saturdays
- Approximately 40–44 hours per week
