Clearwater Seafoods Retail Store located in Bedford, Nova Scotia is seeking a Labourers / Lobster Cook for a full-time position. Availability to work weekend shifts is required.
Purpose of Position
The Lobster Cook / Labourer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of lobster processing, with a focus on safe food handling, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the handling and cooking of live lobster, assisting with processing tasks, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role supports the retail store operations and product quality.
Reporting Structure
This position reports to the General Manager, Retail & Ecommerce & Store Supervisor.
Duties & Accountabilities:
- Cook live hard-shell lobster in accordance with quality and safety standards
- Pack cooked lobster for travel, ensuring proper handling and presentation
- Follow all CFIA guidelines and complete required documentation and reports
- Pack live lobster to fulfill customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Work safely around conveyor belts, forklifts, and trucks in a production environment
- Prepare and assemble boxes for lobster packaging
- Ensure all operational procedures are followed, particularly for packing and handling
- Record and report information related to pack overs

Working Conditions
- Must be comfortable working with shellfish and seafood
- Availability required for a variety of shifts across seven days
- Hours of work typically range between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (Bedford location)
