1. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline, or an equivalent combination of experience and a Diploma in Design and Manufacturing Engineering Technology or CAD/CAM Engineering Technology.
2. Member of/or eligible for certification with APEGS as a P. Eng or with TPS as an P. Tech.
3. Recent/relevant experience (two years in the last five).
4. In addition to the traditional areas of Mechanical Engineering, program specialties require significant knowledge and experience in at least 3 of the following 7 specialty areas:
a. CAD (AutoCAD and Inventor) and Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing
b. CAM and CNC Machining
c. Computer Systems, Networking, System Administration and Programming
d. Mechanical Design / Analysis / Integrated Design Tools
e. Manufacturing, Production Management, Quality Systems and Lean
f. Mechatronic Systems, Data acquisition and control, Microcontrollers (Arduino/Raspberry Pi)
g. Robotic Welding and Automation
5. Strong communication skills (written and oral).
