Position Summary
The VP Finance, for Pong Game Studios and affiliated companies will report to the CEO to provide consulting and strategic support to the executive team as well as hands-on execution of key processes. This position supports all financial responsibilities for Pong Studios including strategic financial planning and analysis, analyzing monthly close results, monitoring, and analyzing performance KPIs, new business opportunities, and other projects as requested. This function will support finance team and support optimal business decision making. This position will lead a team of three, responsible for collections, accounts payable, cash management and data analytics. Actions frequently influence the work of other team members, other teams, and management decisions.

Some of the key things you will be responsible for include, but are not limited to:
- Own the continuous management of cash flows, banking relationships and structures. This includes the support for customer collections, supplier payables, foreign exchange, and investment opportunities.
- Provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic financial objectives.
- Ensure the credibility of the Finance group by providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts.
- Understanding of software license fee models, revenue share pricing structures, and ideally gaming technology.
- Gathers data and interprets market conditions; identifies business opportunities and global trends in the gaming industry.
- Engage in business negotiations and provides feedback and provides detailed status report updates.
- Supports implementation plans, meeting milestones, action and delivery dates; provides regular status reporting and flag issues.
- Analyze exponentially greater volumes of data.

- Adopt new metrics for operations and valuations.
- Direct and oversee all aspects of the Finance & Accounting functions of the organization.
- Evaluates and advises on the impact of long range planning, introduction of new programs/ strategies and regulatory action.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.
- Provide executive management with advice on the financial implications of business activities.
- Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgets and consolidation and reporting to the Company.
- Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities.
- Ensure that effective internal controls are in place and ensure compliance with applicable federal, provincial, and municipal regulatory laws and rules for financial and tax reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years in progressively responsible leadership roles in financial planning & analysis or accounting including at least 3 years of management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required and CMA designation preferred.
- Proficient with QuickBooks.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, PowerPoint, Word Etc. You need to be an Excel power-user.
- Superior analytical and financial modeling skills, with ability to succinctly interpret data for executives and frame business issues in a straightforward manner.
- Experience with general accounting principles and procedures (GAAP), financial forecasting techniques, extracting appropriate financial elements from business deals / contracts, compiling and presenting financial reports, spreadsheets and database applications.
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills.
- Outstanding communication, influencing and relationship-building aptitude.
- Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile.
- Monitor all open legal issues involving the company, and legal issues affecting the industry.
- Construct and monitor reliable control systems.
- Maintain appropriate insurance coverage.
- Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies.
- Assertiveness, initiative, and leadership.
- Occasional travel as needed.
