Job Summary
A cleaner is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall appearance of assigned areas. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a safe and healthy environment. Cleaners will work in residential and are expected to follow safety guidelines, use cleaning equipment properly, and manage time efficiently. Attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces in designated areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, kitchens, and common areas to meet health and safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, furniture, and fixtures
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet paper as needed
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines at all times
- Report any maintenance issues or damages to management for prompt resolution
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and stored after use
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning or facilities maintenance is preferred
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and best practices
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and carpet cleaners.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality of work
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
