The Senior Route Representative is a hand – on field-based leadership role responsible for strengthening route execution, team development and operational consistency across the assigned market.
Working closely with the Merchandiser Manager, this role provides hands-on support through training and onboarding, Store assessment, coaching, standards reinforcement and operational coverage. While leadership and development are the primary focus, the Senior Route Representative remains an active part of field operations and is expected to perform Route Sales Representative duties when the business needs require.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Rep Training & Onboarding
· Support the onboarding and field training of new Route Sales Representatives through ride-along and hands-on instruction.
· Train and assess new hires in the safe and compliant operation of company vehicles, including required vehicle inspections/safety checks, E-logs, company procedures and applicable provincial requirements.
· Reinforce route processes, customer service expectations, merchandising standards and operational best practices.
· Provide feedback to the Merchandiser Manager on new-hire progress and development needs
Coaching Support
· Conduct ride-along and provide practical, in-field coaching to support representative performance and development.
· Reinforce Merchandiser Manager coaching plans, expectations and areas of focus.
· Recognize strong performance and identify opportunities for continued improvement.
Store Assessments & Feedback
· Conduct regular route, store and market visits to assess execution and identify opportunities or concerns.
· Influence and collaborate with the field sales team, key accounts and customers to meet consumer demands within the region.
· Provide timely feedback to the Merchandiser Manager on field conditions, representative needs and operational challenges.
Standards & Compliance Support
· Reinforce company standards related to service, merchandising, inventory management, safety and route execution.
· Support audits, market reviews and follow-up activities as required.
· Lead by example by consistently demonstrating strong execution, professionalism and accountability.
Route Operations & Coverage — Secondary
· Provide route coverage for vacations, illness, vacancies and other planned or unexpected staffing needs.
· Operate company delivery vehicles and perform RSR duties including delivery, merchandising, inventory management and customer service.
· Support peak seasonal events, high-volume periods and other operational requirements where additional field support is needed.
Key Qualifications
· Demonstrated success in route sales, direct-store-delivery, merchandising or a comparable field-based environment.
· Strong leadership potential with the ability to coach, train and positively influence others.
· Strong communication, organization, judgement and problem-solving skills.
· Demonstrated initiative, accountability and ability to work independently.
· Valid drivers licence and ability to meet applicable driving requirements.
· Ability and willingness to operate company delivery vehicles, perform the physical requirements of route delivery and work flexible schedules based on operational needs.

Salary: $60 000 - $63 000 with up to $10k bonus
