Footcare on Bay is seeking a compassionate professional Medical Esthetician who is Passionate about women's health and wellness, about helping clients feel comfortable, confident, and cared for. This role focuses on providing specialized foot wellness services with an emphasis on supporting expecting mothers through safe, evidence-based treatments.

FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform Pregnancy Wellness Pedicures using clinic-approved protocols
- Provide Pregnancy Foot & Lower Leg Relief Massages
- Deliver therapeutic foot care while maintaining the highest standards of infection prevention and control
- Educate clients on proper foot care during pregnancy
- Recognize conditions requiring referral to the clinic's Chiropodists
- Assist with compression stocking fittings and client education (training provided)
- Provide medical nail care treatments including nail shaping, cuticle care, callus and corn reduction, and polish application.
- Proficiency in nail care techniques including knowledge specific to footcare (warts, callus, fungus, ingrown nails).
- Support preventative foot health by delivering services that promote early intervention, long-term foot wellness, and patient education.
- Expand clinical knowledge by working closely with chiropodists and allied healthcare professionals, gaining exposure to common foot conditions such as warts, callus, fungal infections, and ingrown toenails.
- Explain treatments clearly to patients prior to beginning services and recommend appropriate enhancements to improve outcomes and overall experience.
- Deliver an exceptional level of customer service, fostering patient trust, retention, and referrals.
- Experience with laser treatments is an asset, with opportunities to further develop skills within a clinical environment
- Proactively contribute to the growth of the medical pedicure service within the clinic through patient acquisition and retention.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within the EMR system.
- Perform autoclaving, sterilization, and sanitization of medical instrumentsin accordance with infection prevention and control standards.
- Ensure treatment rooms, medical instruments, and equipment are clean, organized, and well maintained.
- Receive full administrative training and provide front desk support as needed, including appointment booking, patient check-in/out, phone and email communication, and payment processing.
- Demonstrate effective time management, organization, and communication skills.
- Perform additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Certification as a Medical Esthetician from a recognized institution in Ontario.
- Genuine interest in footcare, preventative health and patient education
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build patient loyalty
- Training or certification in reflexology is considered an asset.
- Availability for evening and weekend shifts
- Comfortable working a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
