Title: IT Superintendent
Location: Kapuskasing, ON (relocation assistance where required)
Salary: $90,000 – $120,000 + Benefits

We're looking for an experienced IT leader who thrives in a hands-on operational environment.
As IT Superintendent, you'll oversee the technology systems that support a large-scale manufacturing facility. From cloud infrastructure and cybersecurity to production systems and enterprise applications, you'll play a critical role in ensuring reliability, security, and continuous improvement across the site.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT Manager or Infrastructure Leader looking to take ownership of a broad technology portfolio while leading a team and partnering closely with plant leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide leadership, coaching, and support to IT team members.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure service levels are achieved and operational priorities are met.
- Manage critical production and business systems that support manufacturing operations.
- Ensure systems remain available, secure, and optimized.
- Partner with operations teams to improve productivity through technology and automation.
- Manage Azure cloud environments and related subscriptions.
- Oversee virtual server infrastructure and system performance.
- Support network reliability, security, and operational continuity.
- Oversee process control and production data systems.
- Ensure accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of operational data.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation and reduce downtime.
- Manage IT projects from planning through successful implementation.
- Coordinate with vendors, internal teams, and business stakeholders.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
- Drive cybersecurity initiatives and risk mitigation efforts.
- Support audit activities and SOX compliance requirements.
- Maintain governance processes, policies, and documentation.
- Develop and manage the annual IT budget.
- Forecast technology spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Oversee vendor relationships and service agreements.
- Lead help desk operations and incident management processes.
- Drive continuous improvement in customer service and support effectiveness.
- Ensure timely resolution of technical issues and adherence to service level agreements.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 5–7 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Experience managing IT infrastructure, business applications, cybersecurity initiatives, IT projects, and budgets.
- Strong understanding of change management, IT governance, audit practices, and cybersecurity.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Manufacturing, forestry, pulp & paper, mining, or industrial experience.
- Azure cloud administration experience.
- Experience with process control systems such as PI, Proficy, SCADA, or DCS.
- SAP or ERP environment experience.
- French language skills preferred.

Pay: $90,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
