The CF-18 AVS Program Representative serves as Arcfield’s on-site liaison within the Department of National Defence (DND) offices in Gatineau, Québec. This role supports the coordination and administration of program activities between Arcfield and Department of National Defence stakeholders to ensure effective communication, contract alignment, and operational continuity. The incumbent provides day-to-day interface support with government representatives, assists with program coordination activities, and facilitates the flow of information between the customer and Arcfield program leadership. The position helps ensure that program deliverables, priorities, and administrative requirements are clearly communicated, tracked, and supported in accordance with contract requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Client Liaison & Stakeholder Support
- Serve as the primary Arcfield point of contact within the DND office for day-to-day program coordination matters.
- Maintain effective working relationships with DND personnel and support collaborative communication between Arcfield and government stakeholders.
- Facilitate the exchange of information related to program activities, priorities, and deliverables.
- Support positive customer engagement and ensure alignment between customer expectations and program execution.
Program Coordination
- Support coordination of program activities between Arcfield teams and customer stakeholders.
- Monitor, track, and communicate program updates, requests, and action items between the customer and Arcfield leadership.
- Assist with preparation, coordination, and execution of meetings, briefings, and program reviews.
- Support scheduling, documentation, and follow-up actions associated with program activities.
Contract & Operational Support
- Assist with tracking program requirements, deliverables, and documentation in accordance with contract obligations.
- Ensure relevant information from the customer environment is communicated to Arcfield program leadership in a timely manner.
- Support resolution of operational or administrative issues through coordination with Arcfield management and technical teams.
- Maintain awareness of program priorities to support effective execution of contractual commitments.
Reporting & Communication
- Provide regular updates and status information to Arcfield program leadership.
- Prepare summaries, notes, and reports related to meetings, client discussions, and action items.
- Support development of program documentation, briefing material, and correspondence as required.
- Maintain accurate records of program interactions and customer requests.
Compliance, Security & Conduct
- Adhere to all DND security, confidentiality, and access requirements applicable to embedded contractor personnel.
- Ensure compliance with Arcfield policies, procedures, and applicable government contract requirements.
- Maintain professional conduct while representing Arcfield within a government environment
Required Qualifications
- Engineering, technical, or related post-secondary education, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience working with or supporting the Department of National Defence (DND), Canadian Armed Forces (CAF), or other federal government organizations.
- Experience supporting defence programs, government contracts, or military operations.
- Experience coordinating activities between government and contractor organizations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a customer-embedded environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain required Government of Canada security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years’ experience working with the Canadian Armed Forces.
- Experience supporting air platforms.
- Experience working with CF-18 or similar fighter aircraft platforms.
- Experience working in an embedded contractor or program representative role.
- Bilingual (English / French).
