Description of the Position
The Associate, Development and Executive Support is accountable for providing high-level executive and operational support to advance the Foundation’s fundraising, donor engagement, and strategic priorities. This role manages complex scheduling, meeting coordination, briefing materials, and communications to ensure the Chief Development Officer is prepared, informed, and positioned to lead effectively across internal and external engagements.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
- Provide administrative and executive support to the Chief Development Officer (CDO).
- Manage calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and executive communications.
- Prepare briefing notes, presentations, reports, and meeting materials.
- Support donor cultivation and stewardship activities, including meeting coordination and follow-up.
- Track donor activities, commitments, and stewardship deadlines.
- Coordinate and support board members, volunteers, and campaign cabinet activities.
- Maintain accurate donor, volunteer, and stakeholder records in the database.
- Ensure donor lists, reports, and briefing materials are accurate and up to date.
- Support budgeting, expense tracking, and operational reporting processes.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support fundraising initiatives.
- Help improve administrative processes, workflows, and team coordination.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in all interactions.
Qualifications
While we know that for any job posting no one candidate will possess the qualifications being sought in equal measure, below is an outline of the qualifications we believe are important for a candidate to bring to the position or for the successful candidate to develop while in the role:
- University degree, college diploma, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience supporting senior executives, preferably at the VP or C-suite level.
- Experience coordinating multifaceted projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and follow-up skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
- Strong team player with a collaborative and professional approach.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with donor or relationship management databases/CRM systems preferred.
- Experience supporting fundraising, donor relations, or nonprofit operations is considered an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and professionalism under pressure.

Total Compensation Package
Expected Hiring Salary Range: $70,056 – $82,418; with the ability to progress to a maximum of $98,902. To ensure fair and equitable pay at SickKids Foundation, placement on the salary range will be based on your years of experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the Associate, Development and Executive Support.
