Responsibilities
- Assist in loading, unloading, and transporting materials and equipment to job sites.
- Perform a variety of physical labor tasks such as digging, lifting, demolition, and carrying materials.
- Support carpenters, foremen, and tradespeople with project-specific duties.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment on-site.
- Operate hand tools, basic power tools, and construction equipment under supervision.
- Follow all site safety protocols, wearing appropriate PPE and reporting any hazards or issues.
- Travel between various sites in Calgary and the surrounding area as required.
- Take direction from supervisors and work closely with team members to complete tasks efficiently.
Qualifications
- Experience in construction or general labor is preferred but not required — a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods.
- Knowledge of basic tools, materials, and construction methods is an asset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required.
- A personal vehicle is considered an asset due to varying job site locations.
Position Details
- Hours: 44 hours/week. Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
- Wage: Competitive and negotiable based on experience and certifications.
- Transportation: Company vehicle provided for select roles.
- Benefits: Offered after a successful 3-month probationary period.
- Growth Opportunities: Potential for advancement into supervisory or skilled trade roles for motivated individuals.
