Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fabricated Pipe Spool Inspector to join our Quality Assurance Team. CSA W178.2 level-1 minimum, Level 2 preferred. Must have Pipe Inspection Experience. Compensation & Benefits will be based on experience and work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Set up Prefabricated Pipe Spools onto pipe stands using overhead cranes (hoist, level & square)
- Visual Inspection of the welds (inside & out) to ensure they meet Project & Code requirements, and confirm spool orientation is correct
- Dimensional Inspections of the spools to ensure they meet our fabrication drawing dimensions and note any deviations
- Transfer of pertinent information. ie: Heat #'s, Welder ID's and Spool #s
- Work directly with our QC Manager and our Fabrication Superintendent
- Participate in the development and refinement of quality assurance protocols and procedures.
- Normal working week 7:00am - 3:30pm with lots of overtime opportunities
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00-$50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
