High Prairie School Division, on behalf of Northern Lakes Collaborative Services RCSD, is seeking a full-time Behaviour Management Consultants to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to serve students in various schools throughout the region.

Two positions will be located in Slave Lake.

Key Responsibilities: To provide support to school-aged students in various schools throughout the region who present with mental health and/or behavioural needs. Responsibilities include:

Consultation with teachers and parents regarding the implementation of appropriate strategies, goals, and objectives for supporting students

Possible assessment of and programming for students

Other duties may include: crisis intervention; group counseling, training sessions for school personnel and facilitating referrals to outside agencies

Position involves travel throughout the Northern Lakes Collaborative Services boundaries (nlcsrcsd.ca).

QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in Psychology preferred. Will consider candidates with a related degree or diploma with years of related experience in the Social Sciences, Social Work or Human Services field.

Candidates will have demonstrated counselling skills, interest in and experience working with the school-aged population, consulting skills, competence in the development and implementation of programs designed to facilitate student growth.

Experience working with First Nations is an asset.

All candidates selected for an interview must produce an acceptable, original, (less than six months old) Police Information Check, including CPIC, Vulnerable Sector and Local Indices Search, at the time of the interview.

Salary range depends upon education and experience (up to $101,100 annually) and is paid over 12 months. A generous benefits package is available.

Positions to commence as soon as a successful candidate is found and will closely follow the school calendar.
