Position: Marine Technician

Wage: $25.00 to $50.00 per hour depending on credentials and experience

Position Overview: We’re on the lookout for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Marine Technician. If you’re passionate about boats, engines, and providing top-notch service, this role might be a perfect fit for you.
Responsibilities:
- Provide concise and accurate service documentation using the “3 C’s” (concern, cause, and correction).
- Document and communicate any additional work required beyond the initial scope, obtain client approval before proceeding with repairs.
- Perform maintenance and repairs.
- Use hand tools and power tools to diagnose and fix mechanical issues.
- Submit complete parts requests to the parts department, including all relevant unit information.
- Proactively identify opportunities for value-added services and optimize repair orders to increase efficiency.
- Follow established procedures.
- Communicate with Service Advisor regarding repair status and any delays.
- Utilize vendor support, technical manuals, service bulletins and training manuals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, keeping tools and equipment in proper working order.
- Perform diagnostic procedures to identify issues.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical capable to fulfilling job responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong work ethic with a “can-do” attitude.
- Experience with Marine or Automotive repairs.
- Journey person automotive and Marine certificate not required but is an asset.
- High attention to detail.
- Passion for water sports and lake lifestyle.
- Have your own basic tools, specific tools and diagnostic equipment will be provided.
