Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Farm Hand to join our agricultural team. This role involves assisting with daily farm operations, maintaining equipment, spraying and mowing fields. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, physical stamina, and a passion for farming. Ideally would hold a valid spray license or interested in getting one. This position offers hands-on experience in farm maintenance and operations, contributing directly to the productivity of our farm.
Responsibilities
- Assist with planting, watering, mowing, fertilizing, and harvesting crops
- Operate and maintain farm machinery and power tools safely and efficiently
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including repairs and inspections
- Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper water distribution
- Use hand tools for various tasks such as fencing, planting, or repairs
- Conduct general farm upkeep including mowing, trimming, and debris removal
- Assist with heavy lifting of supplies or equipment as needed
- Follow safety protocols during all farm activities to prevent accidents
Experience
- Prior experience working on a farm or in agricultural settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for maintaining and troubleshooting equipment
- Familiarity with irrigation systems, horticulture practices, and farm machinery is a plus
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and effectively
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to farming tasks
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and performing routine maintenance tasks
Pay: $25.00 per hour
