JOB TITLE:
Residence Coordinator - Job Reference #202606-05C
DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Manager, Residence Operations, the Residence Coordinator will:
- Be responsible for developing, implementing, and assessing a comprehensive residence experience that promotes student engagement, belonging, leadership development, wellbeing, and academic success.
- Provide leadership to student staff and student leaders
- Create opportunities for community building and learning.
- Support residents in their transition to and success at King’s.
- Work within a student development framework, and foster a vibrant and inclusive residence community through intentional programming, leadership initiatives, communication strategies and student support.
- Contribute to the overall operation of residence through shared responsibilities including student staff supervision, resident support, and participation in an on-call rotation.
- Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate student leaders including Residence Assistants, Residence Council members, and other student staff assigned to residence life programming.
- Support the coordination and execution of residence opening, closing, move-in and transition periods to ensure a smooth student experience.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Education, Social Sciences, Behavioural Sciences or a related field.
- Experience in residence life, student affairs, student engagement, leadership development, or community programming.
- Experience supervising or mentoring student leaders.
- Experience planning and delivering educational, leadership, or community-building programs.
- Experience with program assessment and evaluation considered an asset.
- Strong understanding of student development theory and student engagement practices.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative and inclusive programming.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse student populations and campus partners.
- Knowledge of equity, diversity, inclusion, anti-racism, and student wellbeing principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.

PSG 10 - $62,351 - $78,068 per annum dependent on experience
