Role Summary
As the Assembly Team Lead, you will be one of two Assembly Team Leads responsible for leading and supporting the Assembly Team's day-to-day functions of over 30 clerks. You will be expected to conduct assembly tasks and supervise the assembly processes to ensure that all work orders are completed accurately and on time. This position requires exceptional leadership, time management, conflict resolution, critical thinking, multitasking and self-management skills. You will report directly to the Assembly Supervisor.
Responsibilities

Oversee all assembly tasks to ensure the highest quality and efficiency

Prepare and lead annual performance reviews for Team-members

Lead regular scheduled one-on-one meetings with Team-members

Manage conflicts tactfully and facilitate constructive communication between Team-members

Review and correct assembly procedural non-conformity

Sequence Work Orders based on priority to ensure balanced workloads among Assembly Team-members
-
Record and validate Work Order data via management software based on actual production and allocation, component usage and quality failures

Set up, maintain and calibrate machines/equipment

Monitor quality control checks throughout the assembly process and communicate quality issues on components and products to Assembly Manager

Consolidate, process and audit daily product transfer to US warehouse

Inspect Assembly work areas daily to ensure good organization, cleanliness, safety, and inform Team-members of remedial actions as required

Participate in continuous improvement activities consistent with company initiatives

Provide orientation, workstation set-up, training, performance expectations and ongoing coaching for all new hires

Monitor and communicate progress on key team goals and company-wide initiatives to Team-members

Discuss performance issues promptly in a tactful manner with Team-members and supportively manage the improvement process

Assist in daily activities of Assembly Team as needed
Physical Requirements

Must be able to comfortably and regularly lift over 35lbs
Qualifications

Leadership experience of direct reports – minimum 2 years

Experience working in a manufacturing environment – minimum 1 year
