We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Tasting Room Sales Associate to deliver an exceptional winery experience to our guests. In this role, you will focus on wine sales and promoting our wine club memberships, engaging visitors with your passion for wine, and sharing your expertise to enhance their experience. The ideal candidate combines strong sales skills with the ability to educate and connect with guests, creating memorable visits that inspire loyalty and enjoyment of our wines.
Responsibilities
- Greet and engage guests in a warm and professional manner.
- Conduct guided wine tastings, educating guests about our wines, winemaking process, and vineyard history.
- Proactively promote and sell wines, encouraging guests to make purchases.
- Drive wine club membership sign-ups by explaining the benefits and exclusive offers.
- Provide excellent customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
- Operate the POS system for sales transactions and wine club sign-ups.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room and merchandise displays.
- Assist with winery events and private tastings as needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Excel in excellent sales to achieve performance in alignment with goals and objectives.
- Motivated and creative team player.
- Excellent customer service skills, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Other duties as required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong sales skills with experience in retail, hospitality, or wine sales preferred.
- Preference will be given to individuals who have previous wine club membership experience.
- Must be at least 19 years old and able to obtain Serving It Right certification.
- Previous Wine Direct or POS experience is considered an asset.
- Passion for wine and eagerness to learn about our winery and products.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
