Overview
We are seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and a passion for automotive repair. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while providing exceptional customer service. The Automotive Technician will work in a fast-paced environment and must be comfortable with heavy lifting and the use of various tools.
Duties
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on a variety of vehicles, ensuring high-quality workmanship.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Interpret schematics and technical manuals to understand vehicle systems and components.
- Conduct routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Assemble parts and components as needed for repairs or replacements.
- Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored after use.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair options, and maintenance recommendations.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve efficient workflow and high customer satisfaction.
Experience
- Previous experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic is required; dealership experience is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex automotive issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Experience with automotive repair processes including assembly, maintenance, and heavy lifting tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills to interact positively with clients and address their concerns.
