We are offering Dentistry training under Dr. Lam ( Resident, Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery) and the possibility of future residency.

Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental examinations, including oral health assessments and radiographs, to diagnose dental diseases accurately.
- Perform dental procedures such as cleanings, extractions, root canals, periodontal therapy, and oral surgeries with precision and compassion.
- Educate pet owners on dental health maintenance, preventative care, and treatment options to promote lifelong oral wellness.
- Collaborate with team members to develop individualized treatment plans that prioritize patient comfort and outcomes.
- Maintain detailed medical records of all dental procedures, ensuring compliance with clinic protocols and standards.
- Stay current with the latest advancements in veterinary dentistry through continuing education and laboratory experience.
- Assist in training veterinary technicians and support staff on best practices in dental care and anesthesia protocols.
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid veterinary license to practice in Alberta (ABVMA).
- Demonstrated interest or specialization in veterinary dentistry, with relevant certifications preferred.
- Laboratory experience is highly valued to support diagnostic procedures and treatment planning.
- Strong communication skills to effectively educate pet owners and collaborate within a team environment.
- Ability to perform detailed dental procedures with precision and care.
- Passion for animal health, well-being, and continuous learning in veterinary dentistry.

Our beautiful clinic is located on 124th street in the vibrant community of Westmount, Edmonton. Heather Lam, DVM and her team at PVDS are committed to ensuring that our practice is well equipped to provide Gold Standard care to patients in Edmonton, throughout Alberta and beyond. We see patients on both DVM referral and pet owner self-referral basis.

Pay: $85,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
