The insurance industry is rapidly changing and we are facing new challenges and opportunities as we grow our operations across Canada. This role is responsible for providing the research, data manipulation, statistical analysis and model building needed to support strategically aligned initiatives. We are looking to you to collect the most appropriate statistical information that will provide data-driven recommendations and guide strategic business decisions.

Product Analysis, Segmentation, Propensity Models Construction
Applies analytics to business problems and makes recommendations for decision making.
Performs queries and runs models on data.
Identifies key performance indicators and links the analysis and insights to business results.
Liaises with business areas on analysis and confirms findings.
Selects, explores, and models data to uncover previously unknown patterns.
Monitors competitor insurance rates.
Identifies new business requirements and potential source data systems.
Identifies new analytical processes that could improve business decisions.
Actively contributes to and supports a culture of a high performing workforce.
Participates in divisional succession plans, ensuring ongoing professional and career development and support development in others.
Supports a culture of leadership and accountability to effectively deliver on strategic and corporate strategies.
Is actively committed to leadership development across the company, supporting team and workforce readiness through mentoring, training and developmental opportunities.
Enables the success of programs and policies that are in alignment with corporate, strategic and divisional strategies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of statistical models and their application.
Knowledge of analytical applications and statistical software or geospatial techniques and their application.
Knowledge of methods, techniques and procedures used in technical analysis (i.e. market and financial research).
Knowledge of the insurance industry and insurance product features.
Ability to apply quantitative and analytical skills to make data-driven decisions
Education & Experience
A bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics or actuarial science.
Dedication to pursue a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
One to three years experience in an analytical role.
An alternative combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
Annual Salary Range: $64,080 - $93,984
