Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Medical Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Family Medicine Clinic. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of medical office procedures, and proficiency with electronic medical records systems especially Healthquest from Microquest. This role requires a professional who can manage administrative tasks, coordinate staff, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and maintain a smooth workflow to deliver exceptional patient care.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the medical office, ensuring efficient workflow and excellent patient service.
- Manage human resources functions including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of staff.
- Oversee private billings, front desk supervision and clerical duties
- Maintain accurate patient records, ensure confidentiality, and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with keeping inventory uptodate.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare laws, safety standards, and accreditation requirements.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to facilitate effective communication and operational efficiency.
- Handle patient inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure a positive patient experience.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for supplies and equipment maintenance.
- Implement policies and procedures to improve office productivity and quality of care.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a medical or dental office management role; hospital or acute care experience is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, electronic medical records (EMR)
- Supervisory experience managing staff in healthcare settings.
- Familiarity with human resources practices including hiring, training, and employee relations.
- Experience with budgeting and financial management within a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and HIPAA requirements.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong communication skills to liaise between staff, patients, vendors, and external agencies. This position offers an opportunity to lead a dedicated team in providing high-quality healthcare services while ensuring operational excellence within our facility.
- Experience with HQ EMR is preferred and preference will be given to candidates with previous medical office management experience.
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
