Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Temporary Cook to join our team. This role will support the Chef with daily kitchen operations and ensure meals are prepared and served efficiently in a clean and organized environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef with food preparation and meal service
- Plate and present meals according to established standards
- Prepare ingredients and support meal production as directed
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils
- Follow food safety and infection control practices
- Assist with receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies
- Support dishwashing and general kitchen clean-up as needed
- Perform other ad hoc kitchen duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen, food service, or cooking environment is an asset
- Food Handler Certification is a must.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, flexible, and able to follow instructions
