The Customer Service Insurance Agent role supports Interior Saving’s vision by developing valuable long-term relationships with clients, pro-actively determining and filling their insurance needs and providing them sound advice with high quality, tailored insurance solutions to meet their needs.
What you'll do:
- This role maintains personal lines business, pro-actively sells and services personal and Autoplan products.
- Responsible to process client renewals, handles potential problem renewals, solicits, maintains and follows up on expiring client policies for cross-selling and account development purposes, and informs clients of upgrades on products and services.
- Proactively manage client relationships; pursue internal opportunities, referrals, and external business growth opportunities.
- Foster business development through service excellence and product knowledge.
- Actively solicits referrals to commercial lines representatives, wealth management specialists and credit union sales staff; cross sells all agency and credit union products to insurance clients. Referrals of more complex insurance requests to the Branch Manager or designate.
- Maintains established procedures with respect to confidentiality, negotiable items, cash transactions, equipment and surroundings to meet safety, legal, and procedural requirements.
- Develop and maintain a strong image within the community.
- Maintains a professional standard of conduct at all times while promoting a positive image of the Insurance Agency and its’ affiliates.
- Other duties as assigned; assist other staff as required.
A little about your qualifications (Willing to Train):
- Good comprehension of all personal and autoplan insurance products and services.
- Job related experience in an insurance agency selling personal lines.
- Fundamentals of Insurance required
- Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Level 1 required
- Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Level 3 preferred
- Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker Level 2 preferred

The salary range for this position is $41,959.58 to $60,678.02 and starting salary will be based on related education, licensing, training and experience. This position will work 35.5 hours per week.
