I am looking for a research technician to assist with experiments in a neuroscience research lab. We develop automated behavioural tasks to assess rodents and use machine learning to quantify behavioural performance in our automated tasks. The successful candidate will help design and construct testing equipment using various components such as stepper and servo motors, beam breakers, RFID readers, high frame rate cameras, capacitive touch sensors.

The position is in a neuroscience research lab at the University of Ottawa. The lab is located at the General Hospital campus.
Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Experience with coding (Python, Arduino, Matlab or C), electronics (microcomputers, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, NVIDIA Jetson) and fabrication (3D printing, CAD) is preferred. Ability to apply deep learning tools to analyze video and images is an asset.
