Content Strategist

Independent Contractor / Freelancer – 20 Hours per Week

Overview

The role will work in close collaboration with the internal marketing team as well as various stakeholders, to strategize and compose compelling content across print, digital, social, retail, B2B, and other marketing channels. The ideal fit is driven by a passion for storytelling and will know how to balance brand and product level marketing, targeting, audience, messaging, and content.

Copy-writing / Content creation

  • Copywriting and content creation/ repurposing for a non-exhaustive list of engaging collaterals such as emails, digital ads, blog posts, social media posts, infographics, posters, packaging, thought leadership articles, white papers and e-books, with the occasional video ideation, scripting, and storyboarding - while staying focused on data-driven results
  • Monthly & Quarterly and Yearly promotional campaign communications strategy, and execution across all touchpoints
  • Create ad hoc collateral content on request & coordinate changes across all existing collaterals
  • Maintain, update, and check for content accuracy across websites, Ebooks, Brochure & Literature Library

Social Media Marketing

  • Ideate and oversee social media platform calendars and strategy
  • Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Blog content management
  • Respond to and/or re-direct client feedback via social media and/or blogs
  • A/B testing various messages and FB formats aiming to increase conversions
  • Staying on top of new social media trends
  • Gaining insights through data to improve marketing performance and report key findings to stakeholders
  • Tracking and growing our organic content reach across all social channels, through optimization and best practices
  • Coordinate campaigns with E commerce store management

Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a digital marketing/content creation role
  • Passionate about A/B testing & conversion rates
  • Experience managing campaigns from ideation to execution with analysis and reporting skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, interpersonal skills, and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational and project management skills; attention to detail, with an ability to multitask and juggle projects with many moving parts
  • An analytical mind and interest in using data to optimize/scale marketing strategies and tactics
  • Understanding of the user journey that surrounds the email experience
  • Working knowledge of email automation software, CRM platforms, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Excel

Offering

  • 20 hours per week, with at least 1 full day / 8 hours at EMC offices.
  • At the start of the contract, spend 3 - 5 working days at EMC office to learn the brand and build relationships.

Contract term is 3 months, with the possibility for renewal and increases in the contracted weekly hours
