Job Overview
Matani Home Care Services Inc. is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Polish-speaking Health Care Aide (HCA)/Caregiver to provide personalized care and support to a client in their home.
Fluency in Polish is an essential requirement for this position to support effective communication and provide comfortable, culturally responsive care.
Responsibilities
Assist with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
Provide mobility and transfer assistance as required
Assist with activities of daily living
Provide companionship and emotional support
Assist with light meal preparation and household tasks related to the client's care
Observe and report changes in the client's condition
Follow the client's individualized care plan
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Promote the client's safety, dignity, independence, and comfort
Qualifications
Must be able to communicate fluently in Polish
Health Care Aide certification or equivalent caregiving experience preferred
Previous home care or senior care experience is an asset
Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred
Clear criminal record check with Vulnerable Sector Check
Reliable, compassionate, respectful, and professional
Ability to work independently in a client's home
Reliable transportation is an asset
Schedule
Approximately 30 hours per week. Specific days and hours will be discussed with the successful candidate based on the client's care needs and availability.
