HOURS OF WORK:
8 hour shifts - Monday to Friday

Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:
The accounts receivable sector is responsible for invoicing medical services and for collecting accounts. Under the responsibility of the Accounts Receivable Manager, the position will be responsible for the preparation of invoices and the collection of Medicare for expenses incurred by physicians and for the financial management of numerous physician contracts. The position will also be responsible for the following: Managing and maintaining the invoicing system for services performed by radiologists; maintaining good relations with physicians, the Medical Director, physicians' offices, and Medicare; planning and implementing changes made by Medicare; managing Medicare accounts receivable that are physically located in other zones; balancing Medicare accounts, reconciling Medicare statements, performing monthly deficit analysis for locum physicians, and authorizing certain payments; and implementing and maintaining uniform processes across Vitalité Health Network. The duties of the position will involve travel within Vitalité Health Network's territory to support employees and managers. Various duties may be assigned to the position based on the operational needs of financial services.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in accounting;
Minimum of five (5) years' relevant experience in financial accounting;
A combination of training and experience deemed equivalent may be considered;
Proven knowledge and experience in the development and implementation of best practices;
Knowledge of Medicare practices and procedures would be an asset;
Ability to set priorities and meet objectives;
Ability to manage numerous projects/tasks simultaneously; understanding of the organization's needs and priorities;
Analytical and writing skills and ability to see the "big picture";
Good knowledge of, and skills with, Microsoft Office;
Availability to travel within Vitalité Health Network's territory;
Ability to solve complex problems;
Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
Physical ability to perform the assigned work;
Good work history (performance and attendance);
Adherence to professional ethical principles, the Network's management philosophy, and organizational values;
Compliance with the rules of confidentiality set by Vitalité Health Network.
Written and spoken knowledge of English and French is required

1. Salary commensurate with provincial scale for management staff.
