We are a law office focused on personal injury and long-term disability located in the heart of Richmond Hill looking for an experienced and knowledgeable law clerk with at least 5-10 years of recent relevant experience. In this role you will play an important role in smooth running of our personal injury and LTD files.
Qualification:
- Completion of accredited legal assistant and or law clerk program is preferred;
- At least 5-10 years’ of recent experience in dealing with Tort and accident benefits matters (plaintiff personal injury)
- Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in an environment with a broad variety of administrative and clerical functions
- Familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure and the Statutory Accident Benefits Schedule
- Excellent organizational, time management, and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while paying attention to detail
- Confident and dependable, with strong initiative and ability to work both independently and in a team oriented atmosphere
- Demonstrated ability to research/investigate issues and sound decision making skills to resolve problems and or escalate as appropriate
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated advanced writing skills to prepare legal correspondence and complete forms
- Ability to exercise good judgment when dealing with clients
- Positive and friendly demeanor
- Willing and positive towards learning, education, advancing skills and adapting to new responsibilities.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
