Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team! The Maintenance Personnel is responsible for maintaining the overall physical condition, safety, and functionality of the hotel in accordance with established operating standards and health and safety regulations. Ensures that repairs, service requests, and preventive maintenance tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner to provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees.
This position requires flexibility to work varying shifts in accordance with operational requirements, including weekends, holidays, and peak occupancy periods, and to assist in addressing urgent operational or safety matters as required.
Key Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting).
- Complete preventive maintenance, routine inspections, and seasonal servicing of mechanical and building systems.
- Maintain swimming pool operations, including water testing, equipment checks, and regulatory documentation.
- Support life‑safety compliance through regular checks of fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting, and safety signage.
- Maintain exterior grounds, lighting, parking areas, and assist with snow removal when required.
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and communicate repair updates with Front Desk, Housekeeping, and Management.
- Coordinate and monitor contractors to ensure safe, compliant, and high‑quality work.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, pool records, inventory, and ensure tools and work areas remain clean and organized.
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience working on various types of equipment and systems.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc., for repair tasks.
- Experience with power tools including drills, saws, grinders, and similar equipment.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and safety compliance.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with team members and report on maintenance activities.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in confined or elevated spaces as needed.
