Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Automotive Controller to lead our Accounting operations within the automotive industry. This pivotal role involves overseeing all accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. Duties
- Manage and oversee all accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger functions.
- Utilize accounting software such as CDK, ADP or other similar platforms to ensure precise record-keeping and reporting.
- Conduct detailed account reconciliations and account analysis to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with industry standards and internal policies.
- Develop and monitor budgets, and expenses providing insights to support operational planning and cost control.
- Ensure timely processing of payroll and maintain compliance with tax regulations and labor laws.
- Collaborate with auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of financial data.
- Manage a team of accounting clerks to maximize efficiency and accuracy of data
- Maintain knowledge of employment standards and regulations and assist in implementation / adaptation of any changes in regular business and GAAP.
Experience
- Proven experience in accounting within the automotive or related industry is highly preferred.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software CDK or ADP, or equivalent DMS is essential.
- Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll management, and account reconciliation.
- Ability to perform detailed account analysis and financial reporting with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes and financial forecasting techniques.
- Excellent organizational skills combined with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience working with industry-specific regulations or compliance standards is a plus.
- Must be up to speed with GAAP and rules / regulations

Pay: $120,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
