Position Summary
The General Labourer supports daily production activities in the pallet manufacturing facility by assisting with lumber cutting, pallet assembly, and general material handling. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork in a physically demanding work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with cutting lumber and basic saw operations after training.
- Assemble wooden pallets using nail guns and hand tools.
- Accurately measure materials and follow production instructions.
- Stack and organize lumber and finished pallets safely.
- Perform basic quality checks and report issues to a supervisor.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Follow all safety rules, workplace policies, and supervisor instructions.
- Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production goals.
Qualifications
- Ability to read a tape measure and follow instructions.
- Willingness to learn and perform hands-on production tasks.
- Physically able to perform repetitive lifting, bending, and standing.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Previous experience in general labour, manufacturing, or woodworking is an asset but not required.
Health and Safety Compliance
- All duties must be performed in compliance with the Workers Compensation Act and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.
- Employer-provided PPE must be worn at all times.
- Follow safe work procedures and report hazards or injuries immediately..

Pay: From $17.85 per hour
