The role
Own day-to-day purchasing and supplier performance while keeping inventory healthy. You’ll run RFQs, negotiate terms, keep data clean, and tune MRP parameters so production gets what it needs—on time, at the right cost, and to spec.
What you’ll do
- Source & select suppliers for one-off and ongoing categories; run structured RFQs and compare total landed cost (price, lead time, terms, freight, QA).
- Negotiate pricing, MOQs, payment/incoterms, and delivery commitments; track PPV and cost-down actions.
- Manage vendor performance: keep an AVL, scorecards (OTIF, defects, responsiveness), and drive corrective actions.
- Plan demand & inventory: maintain MRP parameters (ROP, EOQ, safety stock), review slow-movers/aged stock, reduce expedites/stockouts.
- Coordinate inbound logistics with warehouse/logistics; resolve discrepancies quickly (price/qty/quality).
- Keep systems & data clean: items, vendors, lead times, pricing, BOM buy items; build simple dashboards for cost/OTIF/inventory health.
- Improve the flow: simplify the RFQ → PO → receipt process and eliminate common failure points.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s in Business or Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years in procurement at a manufacturing/engineering company.
- Proven supplier negotiation and category ownership with measurable cost/lead-time wins.
- Comfort with MRP concepts (ROP/EOQ/safety stock), demand signals, and inventory control.
- Strong spreadsheet/data skills; clear communication with engineering, production, and vendors.
Nice to have
- NetSuite purchasing/MRP experience.
- ASCM (CPIM/CSCP/CLTD).
- Familiarity with electrical/mechanical components, fabrication, and industrial hardware.

Pay: $60,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
