Job Description:
Position Purpose summary:
This position is a part of a collaborative management team and provides day-to-day supervision of program staff, ensuring effective teamwork, high standards of work quality and customer service excellence to meet the needs of shelter clients in a housing focus holistic manner in accordance with policies and procedures.
This is a Full -Time position with 4 0 hours per week (subject to change) flexibility in sche duling is required . The work schedule is d etermined in consultation with your manager and may vary acco rding to the requirements of responsibility . A pplicable shifts include a half hour unpaid meal break .
Shifts: Monday to Friday – 10:30pm to 7:00am
Service Responsibilities:
Serve as a member of the management team as relevant and required , particularly as it pertains to day-to-day delivery of services.
During shift, provide support and supervision of staff and assist with crisis intervention, diffusing conflict and problem solving as required to ensure the safety of residents and staff; responds initially to client grievances.
Responsible for completing the scheduling of staff to ensure coverage for all vacant shifts, including sick relief, statutory holidays, and vacation coverage.
Organizational Responsibilities:
This position is considered a management position for the purposes of the Employment Standards Act of Ontario and as such is not covered by various ESA Rules, including but not limited to those related to hours of work, daily and weekly rest periods and overtime compensation. Salary is based on average minimum weekly hours of 40 per week and hours worked are compensated through the annual salary amount.

Education, Qualifications and Certifications:
Minimum of two (2) years of prior related experience, including experience in a residential setting, experience in supervision, leadership, coaching, and motivating staff and working with marginalized clientele.
Valid Ontario class “g” driver’s license, own vehicle and insurance required . Must provide an original copy of current driver’s abstract that it satisfactory to the salvation army, in its sole discretion.
Experience and Skilled Knowledge Requirements
Skills and Capabilities (examples provided below):
Ability to undergo applicable screening and background checks successfully that are satisfactory to the salvation army, in its sole discretion (i.e., the salvation army abuse registry) and provide an original copy of a background check with vulnerable sector screening.

Compensation:
The target hiring range for this position is $58,531.20 to $73,174.40 with a maximum of $87,817.60.
Placement in the salary range will be based on factors such as market conditions, internal equity, and candidate experience, skills, and qualifications relevant to the role.
