Reporting to the Health Services Manager, the Primary Care Paramedic is responsible for supporting physicians and nurses in the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, administering medications (within the paramedic's scope of practice), initiating intravenous (IV) therapy and administering fluids, performing blood collection, providing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when required, conducting urinalysis, and performing pregnancy testing.
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Grade XII required
- Completion of Primary Care Paramedic Certificate or equivalent
- Licensed or eligible for licensure with the Nova Scotia Regulator of Paramedicine (NSRP) to practice
- Current BLS-C (HCP)
- Previous work experience in a hospital setting or in emergency care preferred
- Demonstrated effective communication, interpersonal, organizational, patient assessment and telecommunications skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

$32.16 - $36.79 Hourly
