Position Type: Board of Advisor (Advisory / Non-employee role)
Commitment: 1 meeting per quarter (2 hours
Term: 1–2 years (renewable)
Purpose of the Board of Advisors: To provide strategic guidance, expert insight, and community perspectives that support the organization’s mission, credibility, sustainability, and impact. Advisory Board members do not hold legal governance authority, but provide recommendations and professional advice.
Role Overview
The Grant Advisor supports the organization’s sustainability by advising on grant strategy, funding opportunities, proposal development, and reporting. This role strengthens the organization’s ability to secure funding and demonstrate measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities

Identify funding opportunities aligned with organizational priorities.
- Provide guidance on grant applications, proposal writing, and budgeting.
- Review drafts of grant proposals and funder documentation (as needed).
- Advise on grant reporting and outcomes measurement.
- Participate in quarterly advisory meetings.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in grant writing, fundraising, proposal development, or funder relations.
- Strong understanding of impact reporting and grant requirements.
- Knowledge of government and foundation funding is an asset.
