This is a flexible role based on the individual candidate. Full or part-time work will be considered and a combination of in-person and remote work is also possible. The exact extent of the role may be tailored to the individual applicant. While we have a certain wish list of past experience, at Oaken Builders we believe in people and the right candidate who aligns with our vision and values and is eager to learn and grow may be also considered. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online and other accounting tools
- Perform data entry and manage accounts payable and receivable
- Handle billing, invoicing, and bank reconciliations
- Assist with administrative tasks including filing, document management, and record keeping
- Answer multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette
- Greet visitors at the front desk and provide excellent customer support
- Manage scheduling and coordinate appointments as needed
- Proofread documents for accuracy and clarity
- Support office operations by managing correspondence and supporting team members with clerical tasks
- Maintain organized filing systems both digitally (Google Workspace) and physically
Experience Wish List
- Previous experience in office administration or clerical roles
- Strong proficiency with QuickBooks and Google Workspace
- Experience with data entry, filing, and managing multi-line phone systems
- Prior bookkeeping experience
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong typing, proofreading, and communication skills including professional phone etiquette
- Customer service experience, especially in front desk or customer support roles
- Knowledge of residential construction
Pay: $21.00-$35.00 per hour
